Durant Hall is a beautiful private dormitory with a cabin-esque exterior conveniently located one block south of the UC Berkeley campus.The building has two large kitchens and dining areas, which are reserved for student use. Rooms are fully furnished and include large closets and a sink. In addition, Durant has on-site coin-operated laundry machines and an outside patio area.

Types of Accommodation

Durant Hall contains twelve double rooms, six semi-private bathrooms, two large kitchens, and two dining areas for students.



Two kitchens are situated in this building. One on each floor. In addition, students have two communal refrigerators on each floor allowing them to cook at their leisure.

Kitchen/cooking facilities

The two shared kitchen areas each contain an oven, two refrigerators, plates, cups, dish washer, and microwave. Each student is allotted a spot to store their personal food and utensils as well.



Rooms are furnished with beds, desks, drawers, large closets, a sink, and a mini-fridge.



Electricity, gas, water, and high speed wireless internet are all included in the accommodation fee.



Laundry facilities ARE available in the building, approx. $2.00 per load.

Security and keys

Students have keys to their room, and the entrance is secured with a key code lock, which is given to residents.
